Switching Amplifiers

The SA75 switching amplifier is designed to be compatible with the 75 rack family. The switching technique allows for large peak currents required by impulse applications. Unlike switching power systems, switching amplifiers can reach any voltage between 0 and 180V and can be used for positioning applications. The switching power SP75 is designed to be compatible with the 75 rack family. It performs ON/OFF operations on piezoelectric actuators at extremely fast actuation rates. The switching technique allows for large peak currents required by impulse applications. However, the SP75 allows only two positions to be obtained: OFF position at rest (0V) and ON position (180V DC). The two positions are controlled by a TTL signal. The overshoot of the piezoelectric actuator can be reduced electronically after calibration.
